Welcome to Equus Vets

Owned by vets, run by vets

Equus Vets is the equine division of North Park Veterinary Group. We are proud to be part of an independent practice, with our own experienced team of equine-only vets covering Devon & East Cornwall.

Our dedicated team of equine vets have a wide variety of complementary interests to cater for your horses’ every need. From competition and racing, to pleasure, companion and breeding work. We cover all spheres of equine veterinary care. Equus Vets is listed as a BEVA (British Equine Veterinary Association) approved AI practice 2026.

Our range of mobile equipment, including digital x-ray machines, ultrasound scanners, gastroscope, dental equipment and endoscope, means we are able to offer all of our services on your yard. For any cases that require it, we have stocks and a stable available at our North Tawton branch.

Our small team of four vets and administrative staff allow us to offer a truly personal service for you and your horse. Whether you are a professional, an ambitious amateur or a leisure rider we are able to provide a complete service. This also includes our own 24/7, 365 day a year emergency service. So your horse will always be treated by a member of our own team.

Alongside our main office in North Tawton, we have medication pick up points in Hatherleigh, Okehampton and Holsworthy.
